Climbing Where Ladders Don’t Reach
Have you ever wondered how to change a lightbulb where a ladder or zoom-boom can’t reach? Places like high above a pool, ice rink, stadium, horse stable, or any high roof with no cat-walk access. Simply changing a lightbulb for a regular maintenance worker can be a very big problem…. but not for a Rope Access Technician.
Aid Climbing is an essential skill of every Rope Access Technician and is a required skill at all levels of Rope Access certification. Aid climbing techniques allow us to reach far and high where others couldn’t even dream of going.
Start by ascending ropes up to the rafters, then begin to move safely across the ceiling to access anywhere work is required. Get the job done safely, efficiently and without disruption to the area below.
Climb up, climb over, do the job, climb back, lower to the ground, clean up, done. As easy and common in Rope Access as changing a lightbulb.
