Double Tension Lines

How do you work down a hole in the ground, when the only anchors are 35 floors up on the roof?   You make your own anchor system.  Specialty rigging is essential to get certain jobs done.   Access is often the hardest part of some jobs, but Rope Access Techniques make those difficult rigging jobs easy.

A double tension line is a very useful Rope Access Rigging technique that allows for an anchor point to be created anywhere along the length of the tensioned lines.   At Kings Crossing in Burnaby, BC, the parkade air ventilation shafts required cleaning, caulking, primer, and multiple coats of paint.  With no anchors easily accessible we made our own.

The two large structural pillars on opposite sides of the vent shaft made for the ideal double tension line rigging scenario.   Using two ropes tensioned between the pillars, Vison Rope Access technicians were able to easily work on all sides and corners of the shaft with very little adjustments needed between working on each section of the vent shaft.

Double Tension lines are safe, reliable, and can make the accessing difficult places very easy.
